Align workload, people management and process objectivesEnforce all programs; safety, operational, and personnel policies and proceduresComply with federal, state, and local warehousing, fleet, material handling, and shipping requirementsSafeguard distribution center operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocolsOversee a safe, clean, and orderly operating environmentResponsible for the accuracy of shipmentsEnsure facility is in good condition; maintains a clean, efficient distribution centerSustain distribution center staff through recruitment, selection, and training of team membersIdentify and execute coaching opportunities to develop team membersVerify inventory accuracy through cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at levels acceptable to company standardsEnsure all will call orders are handled in an efficient and courteous mannerEnsure fleet is compliant with DOT regulationsImplement a monthly/yearly budget acceptable to cost control performance measuresUtilize a “Creativity before Capital” approach to managing and leading the facilitiesDevelop strategies and programs to reduce costs and lead times, increase inventory turns and order turnaround timeResponsible for providing outstanding customer serviceREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:A B.S./B.A. degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Management, or equivalent work experience preferredMinimum of 2 years’ operations leadership experience preferredExperience managing fleet of delivery vehicles under DOT compliancePossess a valid regular driver’s license, some states may require a Class D licenseInsurable by Company’s insurance carrierStrong leadership skills: train, motivate and direct the work of othersStrong organization and decision-making skills with an attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsProven customer service skillsProven process improvement experienceDistribution center, fleet, and forklift safetyWorking knowledge of OSHAKnowledge of computers to operate effectively with Outlook, Word, and ExcelBudget managementAbility to operate a lift.
