Description
The Director of Environmental Services is primarily responsible for management and supervision of the maintenance, dietary, and housekeeping staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develops departmental standards of performance, in accordance with all the required guidelines, and to ensure compliance with standards that will provide an optimal environment.
  • Establishes and implements preventive maintenance, dietary standards, and housekeeping program to meet licensing, code, and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for a wide variety of skilled maintenance, Dietary, Laundry, Janitorial and housekeeping duties in and around the facility.

  • Must have excellent customer facing soft skills to interact with both internal (residents and staff) and external (families, vendors, governmental agencies, etc.) customers.

  • Must have identifiable characteristics that complement the company core values.
  • Combination of education and work experience equivalent to some trade school plus three years' experience in related general maintenance, institutional setting preferred. Demonstrated leadership/supervision experience. Know how to safely operate various power tools.
  • Valid California driver's license.
  • Must have liability insurance when driving personal vehicle for company business.
