Noah's Ark Daycare has proudly served the Manassas community since 1994 and is beginning an exciting new chapter under new ownership of Tot Spot Daycare effective August 1, 2026.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Director or Assistant Director to help lead our team, support our teachers, and provide exceptional care and education for the children and families we serve.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leadership, building positive relationships, and making a lasting impact in early childhood education.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily leadership and supervision of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all Virginia Department of Education Child Care Licensing regulations.
  • Maintain children's records and licensing documentation.
  • Support curriculum planning and classroom quality.
  • Conduct staff observations, coaching, and evaluations.
  • Build positive relationships with families.
  • Assist with enrollment, tours, and parent communication.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Coordinate licensing inspections and maintain compliance.
  • Manage staff schedules and classroom ratios.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should meet (or be eligible to meet) the Virginia licensing requirements for a Child Day Center Program Director.
Education:
One of the following is preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in a child-related field with qualifying experience.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential combined with qualifying experience.
  • Other education and experience combinations that satisfy Virginia Director qualifications.

Experience:
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare center.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Virginia child care licensing regulations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication with families and staff.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Required Certifications:
  • Current CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain).
  • Virginia Preservice Training (or ability to complete).
  • Virginia Central Registry Clearance.
  • Criminal Background Check.
  • Fingerprinting.
  • TB Screening.
  • All other licensing requirements required by the Virginia Department of Education.
