We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across Costco's Western Regions, including the Northwest, Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, Mexico, and Texas. Requirements


 Regional Costco Business Management

  • Manage the Costco business across assigned Western Regions.
  • Execute regional business plans aligned with company growth objectives and national Costco strategies.
  • Drive profitable sales growth through new item placements, seasonal rotations, distribution gains, and promotional.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Costco buyers, assistant buyers, regional personnel, and broker partners.
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and product presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and develop recommendations to maximize sales and profitability.

Sales Analysis & Business Insights

  • Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, store counts, distribution, category performance, and competitive activity.
  • Utilize IRI, Costco reporting, and internal sales reporting to guide decision-making.
  • Monitor item performance, store counts, weeks of supply, new item launches, and distribution gains.
  • Communicate opportunities and risks to leadership.

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts by SKU and region.
  • Maintain forecast accuracy through analysis of inventory, promotions, seasonality, demos, and customer commitments.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance.
  • Communicate forecast changes and business risks proactively. 

Partnership with Director of Costco Sales

  • Collaborate on company-wide Costco strategies and priorities.
  • Share regional insights, customer feedback, competitive activity, and growth opportunities.
  • Support national Costco initiatives, launches, and strategic projects. 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, R&D, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Balance customer requests with company profitability and operational capabilities.
  • Drive resolution of customer issues while maintaining internal alignment.

 Innovation & Product Development 

  • Translate Costco buyer feedback into actionable recommendations. 
  • Support commercialization, launch planning, and post-launch reviews. 
  • Provide category, consumer, and competitive insights. 

Demo & Promotional Management  

  • Develop strategic demo and promotional plans with broker & Costco to maximize sales growth and ROI. 
  • Manage demo budgets and promotional spending. 

Executive Communication & Reporting 

  • Prepare and present business updates, forecasts, opportunities, and risks for your regions. 
  • Create customer-facing presentations and internal business reviews. 
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership teams


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of Club Channel sales experience required. Direct Costco experience strongly preferred. 
  • Experience managing multiple Costco regions preferred. 
  • Fresh food, refrigerated, or perishable food experience strongly preferred. 
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth. 
  • Strong forecasting, analytical, and financial acumen. 
  • Experience utilizing syndicated data and customer reporting tools. 
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and rapidly changing customer needs while maintaining strong internal alignment and communication.
  • Physical Requirements
  • 50% overnight travel is required
  • Long periods of sitting, with the occasional need to walk and stand
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
