The Role: Assistant Data Center Construction Manager

As an Assistant Data Center Construction Manager, you will support the planning and execution of construction projects across Switch data center campuses. This role exists to ensure project activities are coordinated, tracked, and aligned with schedule and scope.

You will work under a Construction or Project Manager to manage defined workstreams, maintain project documentation, and support day-to-day site operations. This role is designed to build practical construction management experience in a mission-critical environment.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Support project planning by tracking schedules, tasks, and milestones

  • Review drawings and specifications to understand scope and requirements

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on daily activities

  • Monitor site progress and provide updates to the Construction Manager

  • Track and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

  • Assist with budget tracking and cost reporting

  • Identify potential risks or delays and escalate issues early

  • Participate in site walks, inspections, and quality checks

  • Help ensure work aligns with project standards and requirements

  • Maintain accurate and organized project records and reporting

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

  • Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects
