About the Role

Somerset Pacific Property Management is seeking a motivated Portfolio Leasing Specialist to support leasing efforts across three affordable housing (LIHTC) communities in the Baton Rouge area.

This role is focused on one thing—keeping our communities leased. You'll work alongside established Community Managers, Assistant Managers, Compliance, and Maintenance teams while taking the lead on marketing available apartments, building relationships with prospective residents, and maintaining strong occupancy across the portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leasing experience who wants to expand their knowledge of affordable housing and grow into a future management role. We are committed to developing leaders from within and view this position as a pathway toward Community Manager, District Manager, or Regional Leadership opportunities.


Schedule

· Full-Time

· Monday through Friday (Min of 2 Saturdays a month)

· Occasional evenings and weekends for community marketing events, resident events, or outreach activities as needed


Key Responsibilities

· Lease apartments across multiple communities.

· Respond promptly to phone, email, online, and walk-in inquiries.

· Conduct professional property tours.

· Follow up with prospects and convert leads into leases.

· Maintain a strong leasing pipeline.

· Coordinate applicant documentation with Compliance staff.

· Educate applicants on LIHTC income qualifications and affordable housing requirements.

· Work closely with onsite management teams to achieve occupancy goals.

· Assist with outreach marketing and community events.

· Travel regularly between assigned Baton Rouge properties.


Required Skills and Qualifications

· Previous apartment leasing or sales experience preferred.

· LIHTC or affordable housing experience is highly preferred.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Strong organization and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently while supporting multiple communities.

· Professional appearance and positive attitude.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to travel between properties throughout the workday.
