Job description

About this Job OUR MISSION The Housing Authority's mission is to be the area's affordable housing agent of choice to low and moderate-income residents and to assist them in becoming self-sufficient. OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION The role is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational management of affordable housing programs. This position will be under the supervision of the Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in administrative services, housing management, real estate, or social services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience. Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Administers housing programs by determining eligibility, processing certifications and rent adjustments, maintaining tenant records, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and Housing Authority policies. Monitors compliance with lease and occupancy requirements, addresses resident concerns, issues lease violation notices, and assists with conflict resolution. Coordinates with maintenance staff to ensure housing units are safe, sanitary, and maintained in accordance with Housing Authority standards.

Collects rent, monitors delinquent accounts, prepares reports, may prepare purchase orders for supplies and materials, and maintains accurate program documentation. Performs additional administrative and operational duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support the effective operation of the Housing Authority. Position-Specific Details: Appointment: Probational - up to 24 months Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
