Job Summary
The Assistant Commandant of Cadets provides synchronous virtual instruction in Military Science while serving as the Assistant Commandant of the school's California Cadet Corps unit. This position integrates academic instruction with cadet leadership development. The instructor teaches live virtual Military Science courses and oversees the planning, administration, and operation of the cadet program. Responsibilities include training cadets, managing program logistics and records, organizing events, and fostering leadership development through practical activities. VA Teachers will be responsible for teaching synchronous and asynchronous classes in their assigned content area. Live classes will consist of one-hour live virtual sessions twice per week. The Virtual Teacher will also hold scheduled virtual office hours twice per week, monitor student progress, assign grades, and be available for individual student appointments as needed.
