The company is now in its second generation of family ownership and is an industry leader in implementing construction technology, advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM), prefabrication and modular construction. The cooperative education program offers comprehensive development to diverse college-level talent by providing meaningful work experience and business knowledge to college students in their chosen field.
About the Project Assistant Co-Op
The Project Assistant Co-Op will be assisting and reporting to project managers in Plumbing and/or HVAC with daily oversight of projects, including the management and administration necessary to ensure successful project delivery. The potential co-op candidate will aid project managers by constructing manpower scheduling, carrying out tasks at project sites, reviewing CAD drawings, and working with Project Foreman/Superintendents to track the installation processes. The potential co-op will get hands-on experience at job sites and project meetings. Co-op Project Assistants also assist with the paperwork involved with projects: submittals, subcontracts, permits, purchase orders and close-out documentation. From start to finish, our goal is to ensure all aspects of project execution exceed the expectations of all stakeholders, leaving the owner with an efficient and functioning Plumbing or HVAC system which is easily maintained.
In this role you will:
  • Build Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • Walk Active Job Sites to Build Progress Reports
  • Review Submittal for Project Compliance
  • Data Entry (Equipment, Project progress, Valve tags)
  • Build Equipment Tracking Matrixes
  • Generate RFI's
  • Perform piping take-offs for project change orders
  • Build Estimates
  • Basic Scheduling
  • Collaborate in small groups or as a part of a larger project team

A successful candidate will have:
  • This program is open to current undergraduates enrolled in a degree program in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing systems and construction practices.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
