Job description

William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the overall administration, budgeting, and coordination of site development construction projects, acting as a liaison between the office, field, subcontractors, and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assistin managing project budgets, cost reports, and forecasting
  • Support subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope negotiation
  • Track and process change orders, pay applications, and billing
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules with the field team
  • Assistin preparing andmaintainingthe master project schedule
  • Support permitting, bonding, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Communicate with clients, engineers, and jurisdictional agencies as needed
  • Help manage project risk, includingidentifyingand resolving potential delays or cost overruns
  • Assistwith project closeout, warranty documentation, and final billing
  • Mentor Project Engineers and support field staff with administrative needs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3โ€“6 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in site development or civil work
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
  • Familiarity with civil/site construction means and methods
  • Proficiencywith Procore, MS Project/P6, and cost management software
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

$85,000 to $120,000
