Job description

Albany Med Health System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic board-certified Internal Medicine educator to join our ambulatory Internal Medicine academic practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team, integrating patient care with medical education and scholarship.

  • Be part of a cornerstone practice in the Albany Medical College (AMC) Internal Medicine residency training program, supporting 54 residents, including 30 in continuity practice at our Internal Medicine Group (IMG).
  • Work in a community-based, hospital-affiliated setting with 9 faculty and 2 advanced practitioners, committed to serving patients in the greater Capital District of Albany, NY.
  • Engage with medical students (years 1-4), as well as physician assistant and pharmacy students.
  • Collaborate with the Alden March Bioethics Institute, internationally recognized for its focus on bioethics, and working closely with clinician educators.
  • Experience the support of academic Hospitalist colleagues managing inpatient admissions.

  • A clinician-educator passionate about linking patient care with education and scholarship.
  • Experience in teaching primary care and evidence-based medicine at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • A strong commitment to resident and student education, with responsibilities in continuity precepting and direct patient care.
