Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Cage Manager at the Casino's Cage, Countroom, and Card Control Departments.
  • Support the Cage Manager with formulating and implementing the Cage's policies and procedures on proper handling of cash, chips and negotiable instruments.
  • Interact with Accounting on the audit of the Cage, Countroom and Card Control Departments.
  • Support Cage Manager with ordering Gaming Chips when requested and Card Control Decks when needed.
  • Participate in training and development of staff skills, utilizing coaching and mentoring
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Adhere to all Gaming Laws and Guidelines.
  • Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Controller and VP and General Manager.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 5 years of effective and successful management experience in a casino and/or card room
  • Must have good project management skills; provide strong leadership and direction, prioritize project tasks, meet project deadlines, and effectively communicate with personnel, co-workers, and subordinates.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Suit and the ability to adapt to additional internal applications.
  • Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to make change using American Monetary units.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
 EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
  • A High School diploma or a General Education Degree
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly
  • Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision.
  • This position requires the ability to problem solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a State of California Key Employee License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Visual acuity (8-10 hours viewing computer) 
  • Work in an enclosed and busy area.
  • Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 12 pounds
  • Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions
 WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 24-hour operation with a very fast paced environment
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
