Job description

PURPLE New York are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Beauty PR Intern to join our beauty team, working across a portfolio of luxury beauty brands. This role offers an insight into influencer relations, media monitoring, event coordination, and brand strategy within the high-end beauty space. You'll gain exposure to some of the industry's most prestigious brands while collaborating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Support with monthly and weekly reporting on PR activities and campaign performance across luxury beauty brands 
  • Assist with daily media monitoring and clip placements for brand coverage 
  • Monitor daily social media trends and relevant brand mentions 
  • Assist with ad-hoc product send-outs and inventory management 
  • Draft compelling product pitches tailored to luxury beauty media and influencers 
  • Help execute mailings for PR campaigns and product launches 
  • Assist in creating and updating media lists for targeted outreach 
  • Support with event management tasks, including researching high-end NYC venues 
  • Identify and research new influencers and editors for potential partnerships 
  • Assist in compiling trend reports and conduct competitor analysis to support brand strategy 
  • You will be given and present an end-of-term Internship Project, on which the PURPLE Team will guide and assist you. This mock activity will support you in building your personal portfolio while helping infuse key learnings and takeaways from across your Internship.

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university (minimum 1 year completed) 
  • Passion for luxury beauty, PR, and influencer marketing 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and social media platforms 

  • This is an unpaid internship. We will provide experience that meets the criteria for academic credit and will complete any paperwork provided by the student to obtain course credit from an accredited academic institution. You must be able to work in office a minimum of 15 hours per week. 
  • Please note, this internship is on site with no remote work opportunities.
