Job description

About Us

Orveon is a new kind of beauty company on a powerful mission: to change the way the world thinks about beauty. We dare to do things differently — pushing boundaries with purpose, inspiring creativity, and moving with intention in everything we do.

We are a collective of three premium and prestige beauty brands: bareMinerals, BUXOM, and Laura Mercier. With offices in New York, London, and Columbus, we combine the energy of an entrepreneurial spirit with the scale and ambition to change the way the world thinks about beauty.

Our culture is built on our IMPACT values — Innovative, Motivated, Passionate, Accountable, Collaborative, and Thoughtful. These aren't just words; they define how we show up for each other, for our brands, and for the world around us. We gain strength from our differences and believe that progress happens when we move as one. We are proud to offer a hybrid work model to support the work-life balance of our teams, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive, agile environment where everyone can thrive.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Video Editor to help create storytelling-led, visually engaging content across multiple platforms in the beauty space. Working hand in hand with senior editors, creative and art directors, and the social team, you’ll shape video content from raw footage through final delivery — bringing both creative and technical expertise across a wide variety of assets and projects. The ideal candidate is proficient in video editing and motion graphics software, comfortable in a fast-paced creative environment, and familiar with post-production workflows including media management, syncing, color correction, and audio leveling.

Key Responsibilities

· Shape video content across platforms in collaboration with creative lead and art director

· Assist in the conceptualizing and storyboarding process, translating creative briefs and scripts into compelling videos and motion graphics

· Import, transcode, sync, and organize raw footage and assets within established workflows

· Build rough assemblies and string-outs, maintaining clear timelines and labeling systems

· Edit video, perform color correction and grading, and create title designs and motion graphics that add excitement, elevation, and modernity to every project

· Support visual effects, compositing, and audio leveling under the guidance of senior editors

· Keep project files organized and manage storage workflows across shared drives and cloud platforms

· Export, encode, and deliver final videos in multiple aspect ratios and codecs optimized for social and digital platforms

· Handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and help oversee the production process

· Manage revisions, versioning, and delivery according to specs and client and brand feedback

· Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure consistency with brand standards

· Troubleshoot common post-production issues and assist with software/hardware setup when needed

· Stay up to date on emerging editing tools, platform requirements, and content best practices

Requirements

· 2–5 years of hands-on video editing, post-production, and/or motion design experience (internships and freelance work welcome)

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

· Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; Adobe Photoshop / Creative Suite a plus

· Strong understanding of video codecs, terminology, color grading, visual effects, motion graphics, and post-production workflows

· A robust portfolio demonstrating storytelling, technical skill, and a command of design principles — typography, color theory, and composition

· Strong organizational, project, and file management skills with sharp attention to detail and a critical eye for quality

· Working knowledge of AI-driven design tools and techniques

· Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn and grow from feedback

· Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends

· Strong creative sensibility with a finger on the pulse of beauty and fashion marketing trends

· Passion for culture, social media, and content that captures attention

Preferred / Nice to Have

· Experience editing video for beauty, cosmetics, or other consumer-packaged-goods brands

· Experience within fashion, beauty, and luxury industries

· ARRI / RED / Canon / Phantom footage workflow experience

· On-set DIT experience

· Video retouching experience
