Job description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing beauty brand in their search for a Freelance / Contract Video Editor to join their in-house creative team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and has a passion for creating engaging, social-first video content.
You'll collaborate with Creative, Social, and Marketing teams to produce content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, paid media, and e-commerce, supporting brand campaigns, product launches, and always-on content.
This is a long-term freelance position. Full-time hours, and ongoing long-term freelance with the potential to convert for the right person. The ideal candidate will be able to be onsite in NY 2 days a week!
Responsibilities:
  • Edit high-quality video content, including tutorials, product storytelling, behind-the-scenes footage, and campaign assets.
  • Translate creative concepts and storyboards into polished, engaging videos.
  • Add motion graphics, text, music, sound design, and light animation as needed.
  • Optimize content for multiple platforms and aspect ratios while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Perform color correction, audio prep, and final exports using Adobe Media Encoder.
  • Organize project files and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Stay current on social media trends, editing styles, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
  • Based in the New York City area.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects.
  • Experience creating social-first content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, typography, and motion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1 year of video editing experience in the beauty space is required
  • Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Motion design or animation experience.

Key Details:
  • Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour dependent upon experience
