Job description

Job Summary: Responsible for making and serving beverages while providing friendly, engaging, and superior service to every guest. Keep the bar area cleaned and stocked at all times. Assist other team members with various duties as assigned. Responsible for assisting the Bar Manager in staff training, staff scheduling, tips review, inventory and ordering, and closing and opening the bar.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Greet all guests sincerely with a smile and eye contact, and provide superior guest service.
  • Prepare and pour drinks accurately for guests and cocktail servers as needed.
  • Understands and demonstrates proper recipe adherence, as well as liquor, beer and wine service.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of all menu items and ability to suggestively sell items to guests.
  • Properly set up service station at start of shift, and break down station at end of shift.
  • Clean bar and lounge area, including bar top, sinks, glassware, lounge tables, and all storage areas.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of bar when necessary.
  • Restock bar products, garnish trays, and ice bins as necessary throughout shift.
  • Assist in the receipt, transport and storage of beverage products.
  • Restock bar inventory as well as change beer kegs and soda BIBs.
  • Cut fruit and garnishes to specifications for use in cocktails.
  • Empty trash cans to maintain service and sanitation standards.
  • Must pass a Pour Test.
  • Process all transactions correctly and accurately, and present all guests with a receipt.
  • Bus Tables as necessary throughout the bar.
  • Perform assigned side work.
  • Assist Bar Manager in creating weekly and monthly staff schedules.
  • Assist Bar Manager in ordering supplies and weekly & monthly inventory.
  • Assist Bar Manager in Opening and Closing the bar as scheduled.
  • Assists Bar Manager in staff communications.
  • Must maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all guidelines established by the Southern Nevada Health District.
  • Adhere to all Department and Company Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Previous experience as a Bartender.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with guests to meet their immediate needs.
  • Previous money-handling and cash register experience is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Alcohol Awareness Card. (TAM, ACT, or other qualifying card)
  • Must possess a valid Health Card issued by the Southern Nevada Heath District.
  • Must possess a valid Non-Gaming card issued by the LVMPD. (Sheriff's Card)
  • Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, lift, and clean during various activities throughout shift.
  • As needed must be able to lift cases of beer and spirits (50 lbs), and lift full kegs (165 lbs) w/assist.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
