PAY RATE: $43.05/hour

Summary: 

  • Apply technical knowledge to solve complex avionics problems beyond standard manuals.

  • Analyze circuits, calculate waveforms, and trace signal flow using advanced test instruments (e.g., high-frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, computer-controlled test equipment).

  • Perform aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, company, and supplier directives.

  • Assemble, install, test, and modify wire bundles and other components on aircraft per directives.

  • Ensure proper handling of products, tools, and equipment; prioritize workload to maintain project schedules.

  • Consult with management and peers to determine optimal work processes.

  • Assist and train less experienced employees; may lead teams on complex aircraft tasks.

  • Perform all duties of lower Avionics classifications as needed.

  • Interpret work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, charts, sketches, formulas, and electronic orders to accomplish tasks.

  • Maintain safety compliance with all equipment, processes, and Lock Out/Tag systems.

  • Assist other teams (General Mechanics, Structures, Electrics) to meet cost and schedule targets.

  • Work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and unscheduled overtime as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Typically 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with aircraft avionics systems (Comm/Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar, Electronic Warfare) is a plus.

  • 3+ years in applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

  • 4+ years working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and SOPs.

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft computer systems and standard office software.

  • Capable of sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stair climbing, gripping, and operating hand/power tools.

  • Stand for extended periods, work in elevated or confined spaces.

  • Lift up to 35 lbs; occasional 2-person lifts for heavier weights.

  • Frequent reaching overhead, walking on flat surfaces, standing on uneven surfaces, balancing on ladders/steps, and climbing 3–12 ft ladders/stands.

  • Occasional rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bending/stooping, lying down, and operating foot controls.

  • Occasional contact with metals, plastics, solvents; exposure to noise and atmospheric conditions.

  • Finger manipulation required occasionally (1–3 hrs).

  • Able to work at heights.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with COMSEC, Radar, or Electronic Warfare Systems.

  • Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and riding electric-powered elevating equipment.
