Job description

Avionics Installer Trainee Position:

Trainee will be taught how to install avionics components into general aviation aircraft. Training will be "on the job" and hands on. Installers will learn FAA approved installation methods, manufacturer documentation and training and test procedures. This is a FULL TIME job. Trainee's will work on aircraft w/ experienced install technicians until capable of working on there own. 

Avionics Systems include:

Autopilots, transponders, touchscreen flight displays, engine monitors, moving map GPS's, traffic systems, radar systems and many more.

Work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday. PTO is available.

Horizon avionics is a family owned business for 25+ years, based on McGhee Tyson Airport on the GA Ramp. We are a Part 145 Repair station w/ an FAA approved Drug and Alcohol Program. Pre-employment testing and subsequent random testing is required.
