Job Summary:

Provide LSUE with the following services at specified practices, games, events, and tournaments: Prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries incurred by student athletes, participating in specified school sponsored athletic programs. Accurate and up to date medical record keeping regarding injuries and correspondence with appropriate physicians.


25% Assist Athletic Trainer with injury prevention and rehabilitation programs that are customized to each patient.

20% Onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses including evaluation, treatment, and if necessary, referral to the proper health care professional.

15% Injury prevention through the use of proper technique instructions, of devices such as tape and braces, event venue EAP's and policies & procedures to ensure athlete safety.

10% Assist with maintaining an open line of communication between the athletic trainer and coaching staff, athletic trainer and physician, and athletic trainer and student athletes. Create a trusting environment and safe location for student athletes to receive medical, mental, and physical assessment and evaluation.

5% Assist Athletic Trainer with injury recording and medical record keeping.

5% Assist Athletic Trainer with baseline concussion testing for all student athletes.


Minimum Qualifications:


Master's Degree

Athletic Training Experience


Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in Athletic Training


Certifications and/or Licenses

CPR./AED Certification
