Overview:

FPM Group, a multi-disciplined engineering, architecture, and environmental science consulting firm established in 1968, has an exciting opportunity in our Bohemia, NY and Oneida, NY offices.

Work closely with architects and engineers in the development of construction documents, from the first field visit through the successful completion of construction.

This position will allow broad access to all aspects of the consulting experience and help develop a well-rounded skillset.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formation of construction drawings and specifications for public and private clientele
  • Perform fieldwork to investigate, measure, take photos, and document existing conditions
  • Perform calculations, analyze data, and generate decision matrices to support design objectives
  • Computer drafting and design using AutoCAD
  • Client interaction and teamwork with other Project Team members

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or other related discipline
  • Strong interest in detail development for a wide array of projects having challenging conditions
  • 1-3 years of experience in a consulting environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
  • Experience with municipalities and other government agencies is a plus
