The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s corporate accounting and financial reporting processes, including monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and internal financial reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.

The Corporate Accountant partners closely with Corporate Finance, operating companies, and internal stakeholders to support the consolidation of financial results, improve accounting processes, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting. This position provides exposure to enterprise-wide accounting processes and offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and supporting schedules for leadership.
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC reports.
  • Support the consolidation of financial results across multiple operating entities.
  • Support financial reporting requirements, including disclosures and supporting analysis where applicable.
  • Analyze variances and provide insights into key drivers of financial performance.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Assist in maintaining and testing internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance).
  • Partner with internal audit and controls teams to support control documentation and remediation efforts.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with operating companies and internal departments to gather financial data and resolve accounting issues.
  • Respond to accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance on financial processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process standardization efforts.
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Basic understanding of SEC Reporting principles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or financial reporting preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated financial environments preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred).
  • Familiarity with financial consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance frameworks.
