Summary
Under the general supervision of the principal, office manager, department head or other supervisor, the office assistant (Health Clerk) provides general support for administrators, office staff and faculty. Incumbent may process student information; serve as receptionist, answering telephones, taking messages, making telephone calls, and assisting students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage/monitor the copy center; and/or supervise students in various settings. 4.0 hours per day/174 days per year/Grade 4 $18.11 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table)

GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the general supervision of the principal, office manager, department head or other supervisor, the office assistant (Health Clerk) provides general support for administrators, office staff and faculty. Incumbent may process student information; serve as receptionist, answering telephones, taking messages, making telephone calls, and assisting students and visitors; manage/monitor the teacher's workroom; manage/monitor the copy center; and/or supervise students in various settings.
Specific responsibilities for this position will include:
* Assisting Head Secretary and school nurse in the health room.
* Ordering and restocking health room supplies.
* Assisting with personal needs of students and basic medical procedures.
* Assisting with maintenance of health records.
* Administering medications to students.
Educational Requirements:
1. High School graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.
Knowledge & Ability:
1. Basic office/secretarial skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* CNA Certification.
* Familiarity with Medical terminology.
