EcoLube Recovery, LLC (ELR) is a locally owned and operated business in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in the environmentally responsible re-refining of used oil. With multiple locations serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and the lower mainland of British Columbia, ELR is committed to providing innovative automotive and industrial environmental services. The company fosters a collaborative, small-team environment where employees are encouraged to learn and grow. ELR is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant to join its administrative team in Puyallup, Washington. This role is ideal for someone interested in developing their accounting skills while supporting essential administrative and accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and distribute daily mail for the office
  • Handle branch purchasing and supply orders
  • Prepare and mail weekly checks, customer statements, and packages
  • Serve as the front desk receptionist, greeting and assisting office visitors
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the administrative team
  • Monitor and manage the accounts payable (AP) email inbox, including printing invoices, filing emails, responding to vendor inquiries, and forwarding messages as needed
  • Accurately enter and code vendor invoices into QuickBooks
  • Verify purchase orders and reconcile vendor invoices and statements
  • Support the AP Supervisor with month-end and year-end closing processes
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree and general accounting experience required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Two years of accounting experience preferred
  • Currently in process of getting accounting related experience preferred, this is a good job to get practical accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting required
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Effective critical thinking and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
