Job description

The Assistant Administrator is responsible for assisting the Administrator in leading the Rehab and Care Center (RCC). This position serves as a member of the Leadership Team and reports to the Administrator. This position works under the direct supervision of the Administrator.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in overseeing the operations of RCC in compliance with all the rules and regulations established by the federal, state and local agencies and licensing authority which govern the operations of skilled nursing.
  • Assists in providing management direction and supervision to the activity, dietary, environmental, nursing and the social service departments.
  • Assists in overseeing and guides department managers in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Works with residents, family members to assure services provided by Kin On are meeting the needs of the residents.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents, family members and employees
  • Promotes favorable public image of Kin On and represents the center in community as required
  • Ensures that the facility is maintained in good physical and operational order, clean and safe for all residents, staff and visitors
  • Puts Customer Service in the highest priority; ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes individuals’ needs, rights and self-autonomy.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of government regulations related to the business in order to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assists with working with the human resources department to ensure that SNF HR processes and procedures are consistent with Kin On’s corporate HR processes.
  • Assists with working with Kin On’s finance department to ensure that financial processes and procedures are consistent with Kin On’s corporate financial processes.
  • Assists in working with our key stakeholders: customers, government, suppliers, staff, board, community, competitors, volunteers, partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, nursing, social services or related fields.
  • Three years of work experience in the Long-Term Care settings and two years supervisory and management experience required.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Washington preferred.
  • Bilingual in Chinese preferred.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Strong knowledge of current SNF processes, practices, and employment laws and/or willingness to acquire knowledge quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of employees and leaders as a trusted advisor and confidant. Ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of professionalism, and ability to balance urgency and decisiveness with patience and compassion. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, characterized by presence, respect for others, good listening skills, clear verbal, written and thinking skills, an open mind and the ability to think on his/her feet .
  • Strong project management skills, effective organizational skills, business acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis with high attention to details.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups of candidates, students, employees, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with a focus on completing tasks within a timely manner.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organization. Ability to work within a diverse workforce.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Pay: $80,168.40 - $90,000.00 per year
