Fiberwave Technologies builds and operates high-performance fiber networks for multifamily, mixed-use, and build-to-rent communities. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Layton, Utah, we design, install, and manage fiber-to-the-unit systems that deliver multi-gigabit speeds and a better resident experience while creating long-term value for property owners.



The Role


You will lead accounting, reporting, and internal controls. You will partner with leadership on forecasts, cash, and operational finance so the company can grow with discipline.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full accounting cycle: general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Produce timely, accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and documentation
  • Manage cash, AP/AR, billing, and vendor relationships; support collections and payment terms
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; partner with operations on project and property-level economics
  • Support tax compliance, audits, and any external reporting
  • Improve processes and systems (ERP, close calendar, reporting packages) as the company grows
  • Supervise or coordinate accounting staff and outside advisors as needed
  • Provide financial insight to the CEO/CFO and functional leaders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller-level work
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience
  • Experience in a growth-stage or multi-entity environment; construction, telecom, property/infrastructure, or project-based businesses a plus
  • Clear communicator who can work with both finance and non-finance teams
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and comfort with building process in a fast-moving company
