Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter customer transaction data into proprietary software systems.
  • Prepare and maintain raw material and finished product reports, including raw material tracking, production reporting, inventory reporting, shipping reporting, and yield reporting.
  • Track, monitor, and report fixed asset movements.
  • Track and report vehicle fuel consumption.
  • Monitor and report facility energy usage.
  • Update proprietary software with pricing changes on a monthly basis.
  • Review accounts payable vouchers for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance and industry reporting requirements.
  • Maintain customer-specific and group reporting as required.
  • Manage and reconcile the facility petty cash fund.
  • Conduct research and provide responses to accounting and finance-related inquiries for the division.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and support internal and external audit activities.
  • Assist with annual insurance renewal processes.
  • Prepare special reports and analyses as requested by management.
  • Support managers and supervisors with the administration of the employee timekeeping system.
  • Process accounts receivable activities on a weekly and monthly basis, including invoicing, document scanning, and mailing invoices and payments.
  • Support accounting operations through document filing, account reconciliations, and operation of accounting software programs.
  • Maintain professional and ethical interactions with employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all department and company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Crosstrain in additional accounting functions to provide broader support to the Division Manager and accounting team.
  • Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Clerical skills such as handling files and records and typing
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem solving and follow through skills
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook),
  • High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
  • 1 year experience providing support in an accounting department
  • Less than 5% travel requirement
