Reports to: Controller


About the Role

Platinum Dental Services supports dental practices with the back-office resources they need to focus on patient care,

and this role plays a key part in keeping our financial operations accurate and running smoothly. This role supports

the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with

company policies and accounting standards. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career

who wants hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle, with room to grow into a more senior role over

time. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to engage with the team, and ready to take ownership

of their assigned tasks.


Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts monthly

Process accounts payable transactions

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements

Assist with payroll processing and related reporting as needed

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis

Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation

Identify and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned


Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate's degree with relevant experience

considered)

0-3 years of relevant accounting experience, including internships

Working knowledge of GAAP

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and strong Excel skills

Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) a plus

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Good written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow in the role


Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary: $55,000-$65,000/year, depending on experience
