Position: Asset Protection Coordinator
Location: Mason, OH (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Saturday & Sunday required; weekdays flexible)
Work Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs)

 

Job Summary

The Asset Protection Coordinator is responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating theft and fraud incidents, conducting facility audits, and supporting overall asset protection operations. This role helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring CCTV systems, access control systems, and responding to incidents involving employees, visitors, and retail locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and Access Control Systems.
• Investigate internal and external theft, fraud, and loss prevention concerns.
• Perform facility audits for safety, security, and insurance compliance.
• Analyze security-related data, metrics, and reports.
• Prepare detailed investigation and incident reports.
• Document recoveries, losses, and evidence.
• Support Asset Protection Command Center operations.
• Monitor the LiveSafe dashboard and respond to security alerts.
• Respond to medical, weather, and other emergency situations.
• Conduct employee orientations and security training sessions.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to management.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and Asset Protection teams.
• Participate in criminal or civil court proceedings when required.
• Promote a culture of loss prevention and shrink reduction.

 

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of Retail Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Security experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize suspicious activity and unusual behavior.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and law enforcement.
• Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and varying shifts.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience monitoring CCTV and access control systems.
• Previous retail loss prevention or asset protection experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced security operations environment.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative skills.
