Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Business Analyst to support the organization's reporting and data analytics needs. This role will focus on developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting frameworks related to key performance indicators (KPIs), assets under management (AUM), and business trends. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data flows (custodians, clearing firms, portfolio accounting systems, CRM platforms), data aggregation techniques, and reporting methodologies, and will be comfortable engaging with senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports related to KPIs, AUM, AUA, and organizational performance by business unit, product line, advisor, channel, etc.
  • Standardize KPI definitions and reporting structures across business unites to enable consistent enterprise level insights
  • Support the design and implementation of KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Analyze and interpret trends in financial and operational data such as net new assets, revenue and retention metrics to support strategic decision-making
  • Aggregate and reconcile data from multiple internal systems and external data sources (custodians, carriers, clearing firms) to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to senior leadership
  • Ensure data integrity and governance standards are upheld across reporting outputs
  • Document data sources, definitions, and reporting processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 3-6+ years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or data analytics
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data modeling)
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics and KPI frameworks
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and synthesize insights clearly
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
