Job description

GovCIO is currently working on a proposal for the Department of State and is looking for a Acquisition and Asset Manager. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA and will require occasional travel to customer site periodically.
Responsibilities
The Acquisition and Asset Manager oversees procurement processes for all acquisitions, manages and tracks DT/EA/CST assets, supports bi-annual inventory reviews, and maintains accurate inventory records. Responsibilities include facilitating renewals of maintenance and support contracts, resolving warranty disputes, and identifying market trends affecting acquisitions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors and 12 years of experience in enterprise IT planning, inventory and asset
    management, and procurement for Federal Government clients of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Experience supporting life cycle asset management, audit response, and asset tracking for similar projects.
  • Experience managing and leading acquisition and asset staff for projects of similar size and scope.
  • Secret Clearance: ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience analyzing IT procurements, identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing service/support agreements, and reducing maintenance/support contracts
  • Experience with enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools and platforms
