Production/Assembly Supervisor
Blaine, MN | Direct Hire | $70,000–$90,000 Base Salary

Konik is partnering with a well-respected manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Production/Assembly Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee assembly-line and paint-line operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and coordination across multiple manufacturing departments.

Production/Assembly Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily assembly and paint-line operations, coordinating workflows, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely production.
  • Monitor key performance metrics including output, yield, scrap, and downtime; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Train, mentor, and develop production staff on assembly techniques, standard operating procedures, tool usage, and safety practices.
  • Ensure quality compliance through in-process inspections, dimensional checks, and collaboration with quality assurance teams.
  • Drive a safety-first culture by enforcing OSHA regulations, leading safety briefings, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering to optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including work instructions, production logs, non-conformance reports, and traceability records.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows with procurement, logistics, engineering, and quality teams to optimize throughput.
  • Manage staffing activities, including attendance, timekeeping, shift scheduling, workforce planning, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.

Production/Assembly Supervisor Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly with proven supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes, lean manufacturing principles, and production systems (ERP experience with Workwise or Acumatica preferred).
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership and team management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Experience in quality control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
