  • Supply appropriate tooling, jigs, equipment, and resources to production so that vehicles are built to meet design specifications.
  • Work across shops to identify root causes of issues and obtain support to implement countermeasures and corrective actions.
  • Serve as project lead for section change points, including the introduction of new parts, tooling, poka-yoke solutions, or equipment installations.
  • Lead Kaizen activities within the section to improve process capability, workability, and overall efficiency.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-shop investigations to address design-related safety and quality issues and develop effective countermeasures.
  • Investigate and assess current conditions on the production floor and make sound decisions on appropriate countermeasures for complex issues affecting production.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to maintain project schedules, troubleshoot problems, minimize accidents, and reduce costs through ergonomics and process efficiency.
  • Assist in visualizing and specifying tooling, fixtures, and equipment using AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Work with electronic, air, and battery-powered tools in support of assembly processes and tooling development.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process engineering, process improvement, and manufacturing optimization.
  • Support equipment reliability analysis and contribute to reliability engineering and equipment management systems.
