About the Role
We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery-Production to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a General Labor, Bakery-Production team member, you will be accountable for ensuring dough and baked products are shaped, scored, aligned, and monitored throughout the production process to meet strict quality, safety, and production standards while minimizing waste.

Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: Based on production schedule
Weekend availability: Required
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.00
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
  • Monitor and ensure proper shaping, scoring, alignment, and flow of bakery products throughout the production line
  • Inspect product quality and spacing from proofer through baking, cooling, and packing to meet specifications
  • Operate and troubleshoot production equipment (e.g., scoring systems, conveyors, flour dusters), reporting issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of line checks and production performance
  • Support production targets by minimizing waste and maintaining efficient line operations
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment in compliance with GMP and safety standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis, standard work adherence, and waste reduction
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads as needed)
  • Ability to work safely in environments with moving equipment, temperature changes, and flour dust
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or bakery environment
  • Experience with food safety, GMP, or quality control processes
  • Familiarity with automated production equipment and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, AOE, Centerline)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a production setting
