Position: Asphalt Milling Machine Operator

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Asphalt Milling Machine Operator
    • Will consider 3+ years of Dozer or Grader operating experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and to stoop, bend, or crouch as required to perform job duties


Responsibilities

  • Operate an asphalt milling machine while maintaining proper depth of cut and cross slope per project specifications
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures related to asphalt milling operations
  • Read and follow plans to specification, maintaining an average depth of cut
  • Operate milling equipment with automatic grade control systems, controlling transverse slope and longitudinal profile
  • Make operational decisions based on verifiable standards
  • Utilize string line to maintain proper alignment
  • Meet production and quantity requirements
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance to ensure safe and proper operation
  • Notify supervisor of any equipment issues or repair needs


Experience

  • Asphalt Milling Machine Operator: 13 years
  • Will accept 3+ years of Dozer or Grader operating experience


License / Certification

  • Valid Drivers License (Required)
