Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Account Manager will be responsible to proactively identify, develop, implement, and maintain processes, practices, and policies in order to mitigate security risks and to effectively respond to security-related incidents. Will monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources and advise organizational and client leadership on recommended risk mitigation strategy as appropriate. Will develop security education programs to raise the employee awareness level relating to employee personal security, workplace violence, and the protection of property. Will research and deploy security technology solutions and innovative security practices and techniques to safeguard people and assets. Provide management and oversight of the security operations to ensure the delivery of quality services. Conduct ongoing analysis of operations and make recommendations to organizational and client leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness as appropriate. In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop strategic plans to meet the future needs of the organization and its clients.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Establishes policy and direction (programs and services).
  2. Manages staff in a manner consistent with organizational polices, just culture and values.
  3. Develops and maintains policies, procedures and processes that meet compliance standards, as well as, federal and state regulatory agencies.
  4. Develops and implements security general orders, executing strategically and tactically, including financial performance at budget.
  1. Establishes a culture of quality and high reliability resulting in service excellence.
  2. Ensures services are coordinated with client representatives.
  3. Establishes a communication system that promotes trust and transparency.
  4. Ensures a proactive strategy that results in processes/polies that predicts, anticipates and thus prevents accidents and mistakes from happening.
  5. Develop a climate that uses evidence-based data to drive safety.
  6. Ensures and responsible for program development, labor management and overall operational excellence to include personally fulfillment of assignments when necessary.
  7. Fosters a climate of community stabilization of through public and private partnerships and on-going relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, Security management or related field; Master's degree in related field is preferred.
  • Two to five years of management experience in corporate security or law enforcement program for a healthcare organization, university, corporation, emergency management or in a federal/ local or state agency.
  • Preferred certification and/ or designation of CHPA, CPP or other IAHSS or ASIS related qualifications such as PSP.
  • Active member in good standing with professional association.
  • Must have Florida Class D Security License. Must have Florida Class G Security License only if carrying a service weapon while on-duty in an armed position.
  • Knowledgeable in physical security systems and products.
  • Demonstrated experience with the design, implementation and management of large-scale enterprise wide physician security systems.
  • Initiative and independent judgement.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with a diversified and complex approach to analyze and interpret specific and non-specific information in a decision making process.
