Position Purpose
JCB is seeking an innovative and experienced Head of Security Operations for its new San Antonio site. This is a key position within the security field, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of security services.
This role requires a strong understanding of security operations, compliance, and risk management, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team of outsourced security professionals responsible for the physical security of the site and its employees and products. It is a critical position that plays a significant role in the overall security strategy of the location and organization.
This role involves managing the security operations centre onsite (gatehouse), ensuring site wide compliance with security standards, and implementing security measures to protect assets and personnel.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
  • Managing Security Operations: Overseeing the operations of the site security operations centre and ensure they are functioning effectively.
  • Implementing Security Measures: Developing and implementing security measures to protect assets and personnel. Working with the site Logistics Teams to minimise loss, account for relevant inventory / parts and report on steps to improve security across the operation.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that security operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for security personnel.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and managing security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Act as the primary security intelligence liaison for JCB Business Units, ensuring security insights are integrated into broader business continuity and supply chain resilience plans
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of site security operations and provides recommendations for improvement. Use KPIs to assess performance.
  • Oversight of the technical security measures onsite, to include CCTV, Access Readers and associated perimeter detection devices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Business, or a related field
  • Active or prior U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate, manufacturing, or industrial security
  • Experience with access control systems and CCTV platforms
  • Strong knowledge of physical security operations, including guard services, access control, and surveillance systems

  • Ability to balance tactical delivery with long-term thinking
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Adaptability in a growing, evolving environment
