Department Overview

The Information Technology (IT) organization designs, develops, operates, and maintains the technology and telecommunications systems that enable PG&E to meet its commitment to providing safe, reliable, and affordable service to customers.


Position Summary

Supports IT Field Operations by providing Work Methods, Technical Support, Quality Control, Human Error Analysis & Investigation, and Training. Develops, designs, and maintains guidance documents that support Telecommunications field work. 


PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.  The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint $122,000 - $158,000.  The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

Bay Area Min: $ 122,000

Bay Area Max: $ 194,000

This is a hybrid position requiring work from a remote office and the assigned work location, with travel to other locations across the PG&E Service Territory based on business needs. The assigned work location is negotiable and must be within the PG&E Service Territory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with team or leaders to work on issues, projects or activities
  • Provides technical expertise, historical perspective, industry standard, and regulation code requirements to improve safety, productivity and performance
  • Handles high-level written work methods development with attention to deep dive analysis of work methods best practices
  • Leads the development and review of guidance documentation
  • Identifies improvements and makes recommendations to leadership
  • Supports training development and delivery

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • 10 years Utility industry experience (electric or telecommunications)
  • 5 years experience as Work Methods and Procedures Specialist, or other job-related


Desired:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel within the PG&E service territory based on assignment and location
  • Experience with MS-Microsoft Office applications-Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Word, 2 years
  • Electrical Technician Journey certification
  • Record of Guidance Document Author training completion
  • Telecommunications Technician or Communication Tech GC Journey certification
