Overview:

Come join Team Atlantis! We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Asian Cook to join the culinary team at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Buffet. As the Lead Asian Cook, you will play a vital role in overseeing the Asian cuisine section of our buffet, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Your expertise in Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a diverse range of Asian dishes, including but not limited to Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese cuisine, while maintaining consistency and excellence in taste.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and management to create and update the Asian section of the buffet menu, introducing new dishes, flavors, and seasonal variations that align with the resort's culinary vision.
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff in the Asian cuisine section, ensuring adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and maintaining high-quality output.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in Asian cooking techniques, food safety practices, and the proper use of kitchen equipment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Assist in inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels of ingredients, spices, and supplies for the Asian cuisine section. Monitor food costs and minimize waste through efficient utilization.
  • Maintain and enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and taste consistency. Address any issues promptly and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Interact with guests, answer their questions about the Asian dishes, accommodate special dietary requests, and ensure their satisfaction with the dining experience at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear. Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef specializing in Asian cuisine, with a deep understanding of various Asian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients.
