Job description

Position: Program/Education Assistant
The Program/Education Assistant must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, with impeccable attendance and commitment to Arts Education programming. They must have the ability to communicate and lead clearly and effectively in a friendly, high-energy, collaborative manner that inspires and motivates a community of young artist citizens, parents, and Teaching Artists.
Supervisor: Manager, Arts Training
Job responsibilities:
• Represent NJPAC as the voice and face of the program on Saturdays
• Create a positive environment in which students feel comfortable, safe and engaged.
• In collaboration with the Operations Team, implement effective procedures to manage program-wide challenges.
• Communicate clearly and productively with the Operations Team regarding student progress, engagement, and behavior.
• Work with the Operations Team to support day-to-day business affairs (payroll questions, Letters of Assignment, student invoices, etc.), on-site faculty support, and program assistant oversight.
• Observe daily classes and be able to communicate observations to Operations and Curriculum team as needed
• Work with the Operations Team to assist in any special and/or culminating events.
• Facilitate daily operations including attendance, student sign-in, class transitions, lunch, room set-up, clean-up, and student dismissal.
