Materials Manager

Job Summary:

As the Materials Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Array's management of the life cycle of parts. This will include managing the cut-in of new parts, changes to the parts, and final disposition of obsoleted parts. It will require an understanding of how parts are used within the system, suppliers to be used, demand of the old and new parts, and how to navigate them through the ERP system. It will require key interfaces within the organization including engineering, demand planning, quality, inventory, and procurement.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the central focal point that is responsible for managing material change within the integrated supply chain.

  • Support engineering by managing the engineering changes within ISC by coordinating meetings and ensuring tasks are completed by the quality and commodity teams.

  • Manage the cut-in of new products by coordinating between the suppliers, inventory, and demand planning the ramp-up of new part production and the use-up of existing parts and WIP.

  • Coordinate with engineering and product management the timing of cut-in of new parts.

  • Manage the disposition of aging inventory to reduce and manage our inventory levels by working with engineering, demand planning and production to identify disposition, gain approvals from finance, and manage part changes.

  • Manage the safety stock levels to ensure we have enough parts coming in and are not carrying too much inventory level.

  • Recommend and implement new tools to streamline parts management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Level degree in either engineering or supply chain management

  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Inventory Management

  • 7+ years of experience with ERP systems

  • 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Material management experience

  • SAP ERP Software Experience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills

  • Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work well independently under tight deadlines
