Supervisor, Maintenance

 

 

Job Summary: 

 Our success depends on the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will make that possible. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will provide critical maintenance support to our entire manufacturing facility to ensure consistent quality while minimizing production downtime. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure ongoing upkeep of facilities, machinery, equipment, and plant operations.
  • Provide mechanical repairs, adjustments, installations, and daily preventive maintenance.
  • Perform changeovers, set-ups, and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in all majors rebuilds and plant facilities maintenance.
  • Deliver outstanding service to customers, both internal and external
  •  Run daily, weekly, and monthly downtime reports in Mx. Daily downtime reports for tier 3.  Weekly update KPI graph (excel sheet). Monthly run report for tier 4.
  •  Daily audit mx w/o and check for proper start to finish, proper categories, Root causes and comments in all w/o. All w/o must also have lock out field checked off and return to production field checked off.
  •  Daily audit pms w/o to make sure they are being completed.
  •  Update pms as needed based off needs and root cause corrective actions.
  •  Update part inventory, request parts as needed based of stock count.
  •  Add procedures (work instructions) as needed into mx library.
  •  Coordinate upcoming projects. Machine rebuilds, machine upgrades facilities maintenance work without impacting production.
  •  Run tier 1 meetings with all three shifts. Go over Safety, quality, production, maintenance, People. This is where we also discuss goals and what the focus is for the day and any important projects.
  •  Run tier 2 and tier 3 daily, Tier 4 monthly.
  •  Audit Litmos training to make sure the team is up to date on all training.
  •  Update Competence matrix as needed.
  •  Assist maintenance out on the floor as needed to troubleshoot machines or if a tech is out help with some of the workload so tasks still get completed.
  •  Assist other departments as needed. Production, Safety, Quality. Shipping (prep any parts that need to be sent out for rebuild or warranty.
  •  Perform Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  •  Perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Responsibility for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in industrial manufacturing setting in one or more of the following major disciplines:
    • Mechanical
    • Fabrication
    • Hydraulic
    • Electrical
    • Pneumatic
    • Industrial PLC and computer control systems
  • Experience/Familiarity with the following subject areas:
    • Use and care of common hand, electronic and machine tools.
    • Occupational hazards, safety precautions and safe work practices
    • Parts inventory, requirements, and inter-changeability of parts between various pieces of equipment
    • Business task and comm systems: Outlook, Word, Excel, CMMS

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in the use of advanced and specialized meters and gauges
  • Experience in precision industrial metal processing (saws, pushers, parts finishing, conveyors)
  • Advanced trade, certification, or degrees
  • Experience utilizing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical schematics and technical publications.

 

Physical Demands:

  

Lifting requirements: 50lbs  

Standing hours: 90%

Computer hours: 10%

Work environment is fast paced, noise and temperature levels can vary.

  • If your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $50 per pair every two years.
  • Array operates under strict guidelines and safety standards.  Ear protection, hard hats, and standard non-prescription safety glasses are provided by the company.
