Becoming an Enlisted Soldier in the U.S. Army means stepping into a pivotal role as the hands-on operator, technician, and specialist of the nation's ground forces . Operating across over 150 different Military Occupational Specialties (MOS), enlisted personnel perform critical combat, technical, and support missions globally . Enlistment offers a direct pathway to rapid leadership opportunities, secure employment, and robust educational funding.

The Enlistment Process

  • Aptitude Testing: You will take the ASVAB to determine your mathematical, reading, technical, and mechanical strengths, which dictates which Army careers you qualify for.
  • Medical Screening (MEPS): You will complete a thorough physical examination at a Military Entrance Processing Station to ensure you meet fitness and health standards.
