Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Army 365 Architect to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate Army/DoD policy and operational requirements into Army 365 and enterprise service architecture designs.
  • Maintain DoDAF-aligned architecture artifacts (AV/OV/SV/CV/SdtV) and transition/integration documentation for Army 365 services.
  • Coordinate with ARNG, Joint Force, alternate-site partners, and vendors to integrate security, circuit provisioning, interoperability, and service dependencies.
  • Validate designs for compliance with Army/DoD policies, interoperability standards, and RMF/authorization considerations.
  • Produce modernization roadmaps, COAs, ROMs, and technical recommendations to support cloud and enterprise service initiatives.
  • Advise on architectural tradeoffs, impacts to NIPR/SIPR operations, and mitigation strategies for risks and constraints.
  • Support portfolio/strategic planning by incorporating partner dependencies and enterprise constraints into architecture decisions.
  • Provide architecture reviews, technical briefs, and decision artifacts for program leadership and governance boards.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education / Training / Certification: Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field; OR
    2. Relevant DoD/Military training (examples: SANS SEC510 Public Cloud Security, SANS SEC540 Cloud Security & DevSecOps); OR
    3. Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; ISC2 CSSLP).
  • Experience: Architecture, systems engineering, or service integration experience with at least some direct exposure to Army/DoD enterprise services, cloud integrations, or Army 365 deployments.
  • Skills: DoDAF modeling, cloud/service architecture (Army 365/O365), NIPR/SIPR integration considerations, RMF/ATO awareness, service provisioning and circuit coordination, stakeholder engagement, and technical briefing capability.

Desired / Preferred
  • Prior experience supporting Army 365/O365 deployments in DoD/ARNG environments
  • Familiarity with Army Unified Network/ORGNET integration and DISA/DoDIN service requirements
  • Experience with cloud security controls, STIGs/CSGs, and enterprise collaboration platform governance

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
