We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. This vital role is not just about ensuring safety; it's about creating a secure and comfortable environment for everyone who enters our premises. As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline in protecting our property, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify and report irregularities or potential security risks
  • Monitor and operate CCTV cameras, access control systems, and fire safety equipment
  • Lock and unlock designated areas in accordance with scheduling or requests
  • Respond promptly to incidents and complete detailed, accurate reports
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving process for packages, ensuring proper documentation and control
  • Foster a safe and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests
  • Conduct personnel, bag, and package searches as needed to maintain security protocols
  • Manage and monitor access for employees and visitors, ensuring proper credentials are used
  • Attend departmental in-service training sessions to stay updated on procedures and best practices
  • Maintain security equipment through routine checks, upkeep, and scheduled maintenance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor, in compliance with laws and company policy
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant security experience
  • Ability to pass a clear criminal background and MVR check
  • Must have a valid Georgia driver's license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods as required
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage and security systems
  • Flexible availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Physically capable of operating all security equipment and maintaining annual First Aid Certification
  • Must successfully pass annual written assessments on security policies and procedures

This position may require operating a company vehicle or driving as part of regular job duties. All employees in such roles must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of three (3) years.
