AREA SALES REPRESENTATIVE (ASR) POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Area Sales Representative (ASR) for Sanwa Food Group, you will play a key role in promoting the company’s products and programs to existing and new customers. This position focuses on driving sales growth by developing strong customer relationships and achieving profitability goals. Your responsibility will include selling both food and non-food items, while working closely with the team to ensure that customer needs are met. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote and sell Sanwa Food Group’s wide range of food and non-food products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are consistently met.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory to grow the customer base.
  • Achieve sales and profitability goals by proactively managing sales activities and customer accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations, showcasing the value and benefits of Sanwa's offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and delivery, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer sites to evaluate their needs and suggest relevant products and services.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
  • Handle customer escalations and provide solutions to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to drive sales strategies.
  • Monitor account performance and provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales efforts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and account updates for management review.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Represent Sanwa Food Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and promote the brand.
  • Adhere to company policies, sales processes, and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the food industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques, relationship management, and customer service best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales territory, and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor activity.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel within assigned territory. Extensive travel within the assigned territory, with occasional out-of-area travel for company events or meetings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in food distribution, wholesale, or related industries.
