Job Title: Area Revenue Manager
Location: Remote Position
Position Overview:
The Area Revenue Manager at Springwood Hospitality is responsible for strategically coordinating and optimizing the revenue management processes across a portfolio of hotels. This role plays a crucial part in maximizing room revenue and ensuring competitive positioning within the market. The Area Revenue Manager works closely with General Managers, Directors of Sales, and other key personnel to develop and implement effective pricing strategies, forecasting, and sales plans for both group and transient markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Revenue Management:
  • Develop pricing strategies based on day of the week and seasonality.
  • Monitor and analyze market demand factors and competitors' pricing and positioning.
  • Forecast room revenues on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Manage and optimize multiple distribution channels, including brand websites, third-party platforms.

Revenue Optimization:
  • Maximize hotel revenues through effective inventory and pricing strategies for group and transient business.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Sales and General Managers to establish proactive group target rates.
  • Analyze and implement action plans to adjust pricing strategies based on market changes and trends.

Training & Collaboration:
  • Train hotel staff, including reservations and front office teams, to ensure consistent revenue management practices.
  • Work closely with property-level teams and the corporate sales department to ensure alignment on revenue goals and sales strategies.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly revenue performance reports, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all relevant systems (PMS, RMS) are updated and accurate to reflect current rates and availability.
  • Attend property-specific meetings to communicate revenue strategies and performance metrics.

Special Projects:
  • Assist in special projects and participate in task forces or committees as required.
  • Support marketing efforts to enhance promotional strategies and ensure all web content is up to date.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of revenue management experience, preferably with Hilton or Marriott brands.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and revenue management systems (RMS).

Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct statistical and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Performance Metrics:
  • Achievement of revenue targets and budget goals.
  • Accuracy in forecasting room revenues.
  • Rate of improvement in RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) and GOPPAR (Gross Operating Profit Per Available Room).
  • Success in optimizing inventory and pricing strategies.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Revenue and collaborates frequently with General Managers, Directors of Sales, and the Vice President.
