Location: Baltimore, MD

Pay: $30 to $38 per hour, based on experience

Monkey in the Metal is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to support commercial interior construction and custom fabrication projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in detailed craftsmanship, and can help bring custom design concepts to life through quality metal fabrication and installation.

We specialize in custom-built features for commercial spaces including offices, restaurants, and multi-use developments. Our work blends craftsmanship with design, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable working with metal, tools, drawings, and unique project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom metal components for commercial interior projects
  • Cut, weld, grind, finish, and assemble metal pieces according to project needs
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Assist with the installation of custom metal features on job sites
  • Work with project leads, designers, and team members to complete fabrication work accurately
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
  • Use fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Support field work and installation when needed
  • Identify fabrication or installation challenges and communicate them clearly
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, detail, and craftsmanship


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related trade
