  • Location: Melville, New York 11747, office located in Bohemia, New York - 50% in office, 50% on jobsites (NY) - (subject to workload)

The Opportunity

You will step into a pivotal leadership role managing multiple high-value commercial architectural metal and glass projects from pre-construction through final closeout. Joining an established company with a 67-year legacy, you will drive project success while fostering strong collaborative relationships with top architects and general contractors. This position empowers you to make a lasting structural impact on major commercial landscapes within a supportive, family-oriented corporate culture.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Oversee 8 to 15 commercial architectural metal and glass projects simultaneously from initial award through final closeout.
  • Drive project schedules, material procurement logs, and labor allocation to ensure all phases remain on track and within budget.
  • Cultivate trusted, transparent relationships with general contractors, architects, and field teams through proactive and honest communication.
  • Manage complex financial landscapes including cost controls, forecasting, regular billings, change orders, and overall project profitability.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with estimating, drafting, fabrication, and installation departments to streamline material lead times and sequencing.
  • Resolve real-time technical hurdles and logistical conflicts on active jobsites under fast-paced, high-pressure construction conditions.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated project management experience within the architectural metal, glazing, storefront, or curtain wall industry.
  • Deep technical knowledge of commercial interior and exterior glazing systems, custom metal, fabrication processes, and installation methods.
  • Proven ability to interpret and extract detailed data from architectural drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing a high volume of complex commercial construction projects at one time.
  • High proficiency with modern construction management technology including Procore, ACC Autodesk, Bluebeam, or equivalent software platforms.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field is preferable but not required.
  • 7 or more years of related work experience in commercial glazing and specialty architectural metals.
  • Specialized expertise with storefront systems, Herculite entrances, and custom metal design & fabrication.
  • Active OSHA safety certification
  • AutoCAD knowledge helpful
  • Strong, established working network and direct project experience within the New York City and tri-state area construction market.
