Job description

ETC, a growing, dynamic US company located outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced, local Sheet Metal Technician to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines (fiber/CO₂)
  • Operate traditional sheet metal equipment, including press brakes, shears, punches, and saws
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders
  • Select proper materials, tooling, and machine settings for each job
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
  • Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other fabrication team members
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
  • Some experience in sheet metal fabrication and laser operation (preferred)
  • Experience with CNC laser cutting machines
  • Working knowledge of press brakes and traditional sheet metal equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
