Job description

Primary Job Function:
The Program Manager coordinates and manages new programs including customer product requirements, project timing and facilitates customer engineering review meetings to help secure future business. The Program Manager coordinates all customer requirements amp; concerns with the plant after new business is awarded. Bill of materials, feasibility studies, engineering revisions, project budget, and project timing is created and maintained throughout the entire project life by this position. Complete any and all work assignments as directed by management.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Primary customer contact and manages customer satisfaction regarding: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Concerns. Manages and coordinates conflict resolution with customers and TSAC
  • Primary customer contact for new programs. Initiates and updates BOM, development process, timing and quality
  • Coordinates and manages feasibility amp; engineering changes
  • Coordinates and manages launch projects including APQP amp; PPAP
  • Establish and maintain project open concern matrix and seeks engineering support from Assembly and Stamping engineering after quote is completed, or as needed. Meets periodically with the launch team to review the concern matrix
  • Coordinates and manages supplier and in-house coordination and follow-up
  • Coordinates and manages research and development/new technology assistance
  • Adherence to launch methodology process
  • Supervises Coordinator as required
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates degree or 2 years’ experience in skilled trades, stamping engineering, assembly engineering, quality engineering, cost management, or tool amp; die
  • Minimum 5 years in program or project management
  • Ability to interpret engineering information
  • Computer skills (Excel, MS Project, PPT, Outlook and Word)
  • Customer specific systems expected
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Must have knowledge of GD amp;T, APQP, PPAP, and SPC
  • Must have exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Training Requirements or Equivalents:
  • New hire orientation
  • ERP System Training
Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. and potential lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
  • Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hours or more)
  • Ability to use a phone and computer keyboard
  • Ability to work in office and manufacturing environment
