General Summary:

  • Assists in the performance of a variety of finish and rough carpentry services consistent with plan specifications (i.e. interior and exterior framing; window and door installment; siding; roofing; stairs and handrails; decks; floor systems; drywall; cabinet fabrication; finish carpentry).
  • Contributes to a cooperative team environment with common goals.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with customers and Charter personnel.
  • Practice proper safety protocol.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Apprentice Level 1)

  • Learn trade mathematics
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools
  • Clean tools and equipment
  • Demolition skills
  • Rough carpentry skills

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Apprentice Level 2)

*Must achieve proficient status for all Level 1 job requirements

  • Rough carpentry
  • Basic layout
  • Basic floor, wall and roof framing
  • Assist with window and door installation
  • Ability to learn, follow directions, and work cohesively with others
  • Practice quality control

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Apprentice Level 3)

*Must achieve proficient status for all Level 1 & 2 job requirements

  • Put up siding
  • Roof framing (wood trusses)
  • Window / door install
  • Install thermal and moisture protection
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • Handrails
  • Basic rebar and concrete skills
